
Ian Matthew
Ian has a diverse background in Acoustics and has done extensive work in the area of Acoustics and Vibration since joining Valcoustics in 2007. Prior to joining the firm, he completed his master’s degree (M.Sc.) in Audio Acoustics at the University of Salford in Manchester, England. Before this, he was Project Manager for New Product Industrialization at Nestle Canada. He has extensive experience in analyses for room acoustics and has acted as Project Manager on a number of major projects. His responsibilities include noise/vibration measurement, analysis, design computations, and report preparation. In addition, Ian was an active contributor in preparing the draft version of NPC-300, “Environmental Noise Guidelines – Stationary and Transportation Noise Sources – Approval and Planning”. NPC-300 (issued in October 2013) supersedes the previous noise guidelines.
